About The Hollywood Hills Occultist

There is a house perched high in the Hollywood Hills, overlooking the glittering lights of traffic snaking along Sunset Boulevard below. From up here, the city looks small but powerful, a vibrant hub of ever contracting and expanding light, cloaked in the pink darkness particular to a Los Angeles night. Most evenings, the lights in this cliffside house stay on long after the rest of The Hills have gone dark.Inside, someone is working, I am working. Not the kind of work that fills a calendar, but the older kind. The kind done in silence, by candlelight, while the city hums its own version of an electric prayer down below.I won't tell you my name. Names are small things, and this was never about me. It's about what I know, and what I've spent a lifetime learning to do with it. The practical magic of becoming. The quiet science of bending a life toward what it was always meant to be.I can feel you wondering as you read these paragraphs. The word occult comes from the Latin occultus, meaning hidden, concealed, kept for those who go looking. It isn’t demonic or dark, at least not for me. I don’t deal in darkness, no bargains with creatures I don’t understand, nothing owed. It simply refers to the knowledge that has always lived just beneath the surface of things, the wisdom that traditions from astrology to alchemy have circled for centuries. Hidden, not because it is dangerous, but because most people never think to look, and fewer bother to interpret what they find. I am simply someone who looked and kept looking.People imagine the occult as something dark, something locked away. It isn't. It's simply the study of what works in our lives. The patient art of noticing that reality is far more responsive than you were taught, and that the person who learns its grammar stops asking the world for permission and instead starts living their life.I am not here to sell you a fantasy. The market is crowded with people promising miracles by Friday, that if you think about a Ferrari one will drop out of the sky into your driveway. I’m never going to tell you to limit your own beliefs, but in my experience this doesn’t happen. What I am here to let you in on is knowledge that I have found to be more useful and considerably more dangerous than manifesting a car, the power you need was always yours. What I have learned is the ways to help tip the scales in your favor, even though you still need to put in the work.Since we're getting acquainted, I’m going to be blunt. I can't fix your life for you. And even if I could, I wouldn't. The journey is yours to take, not mine to correct. There is no version of this where I live it for you, and frankly, you'd resent me if I tried. But what I can offer is some help along the way, and who among us doesn't need that. Sharing what I know. Lending my energy to yours. A hand on the small of the back at the moment you decide to move. That, I can do. That, I am very good at.So stay a while. Read what I write. Take what serves you and leave the rest, with no apology and no explanation owed to anyone, least of all me. The work is real, which is precisely why it doesn't need to announce itself. The lights are on. The door is open. Welcome to The Occultist that lives in The Hollywood Hills.
